Tasting Notes
Matakana Estate’s sloping clay soils and moderate day time temperature allow our Pinot Gris grapes to develop fine fruit characters while retaining a refreshing acidity, which we encourage and retain by bottling while young and without any time in barrel. The resulting wine is ripe and satisfying with fine flavours of pear and white peach, medium-bodied and with a good clean finish.
