Matakana Estate's viticultural adventures have stayed close to home this year.The Matakana region's warm maritime climate is ideal for growing Pinot Gris, which is our largest planted variety on our home block.
The Pinot Gris displays lifted aromas of crisp pear, apple and peach with a hint of spice. On the palate there is ripe pear and apple, with subtle citrus flavours, it is clean and crisp from the start through to its long, full finish.
The perfect accompaniment to char-grilled squid, spicy Asian dishes or try with vietanamese-style summer rolls.
